Bio: Donna Simadas

What brought you here to Sanctuary Aus?

Having recently retired I was looking for a volunteering opportunity. My daughter was on the board of Sanctuary and felt I may find an opportunity here to contribute something to a worthwhile organisation. I believe they are offering valuable services in the family and community sector and am keen to help.

What keeps you here at SA?

What do you like about your role?

Variety has always been important to me as my attention span is not great. I have the opportunity to touch on so many different aspects of the organisation I can’t imagine getting bored and hope I can assist in making the administration load on the team a little lighter.

Your Previous Work

My working life has been in many fields but always in the admin space. My final six years in the paid workforce was in Real Estate as the Admin Manager of a Real Estate Group in the Blue Mountains.

Your previous study

Too many years ago to matter I studied Hotel Administration and that is where my formal education ended. I have built my skill set from over 40 forty years of experience in a variety of industries.

I haven’t been here long but have certainly felt welcomed and look forward to making a contribution.
