Board Treasurer (Voluntary)
Sanctuary Aus are looking for a new Treasurer for our Board.
The Treasurer will provide oversight of the organisation’s finances and financial reporting. The position will also join the rest of the Board to provide governance and oversee the strategic direction and financial sustainability of the organisation.
Sanctuary Aus is a medium-sized charity, with a part-time team of a Finance Manager and Finance Support worker. We have undertaken full financial audits for the last four years, with the Auditor being very complementary on our processes and practice.
We are looking for a new Treasurer to join our Board. Do you have a good level of experience in managing finances and, preferably, an understanding of the Treasurer’s role on the Board. The Board meetings would include:
Finance Committee from 6 until 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of the month; and
Board Meeting from 6 until 7.30pm on the last Wednesday of the month.
The Treasurer would be responsible for the preparation of reports for these meetings and take a high-level oversight of the company finances: working with the Business Manager and Finance Support Worker to provide an effective financial service for the company.
Please see attached Position Description or contact Kim on 0438 875 937 for any questions you might have.
